The main objective of this project was to meet the client’s taste, respecting the original characteristics of the building and taking advantage of its privileged view.
A combination of characteristic elements of the traditional architecture with modern and minimalist lines was designed, introducing some elements that architecturally improved the building respecting the architecture of the neighbourhood buildings in this historical center.
On of the most interesting features of the house are its incredible view over the Tagus River, which were an inspiration for the project.
The building has been completely redesigned, since it was very subdivided and did not correspond to the briefing, and now it accommodates a open plan home through its three floors and mezzanine.
The finishings mix old elements like new windows and doors and old gates and tiles.
